Fill Up Bangladesh Passport Renewal Application Form
You can easily apply for an e-passport online. Here are all the steps how to fill up Bangladesh passport renewal application form from USA. I described with pictures. Follow the steps carefully and apply now.
Step 1: Create an Account in Bangladesh E Passport Website
Visit the epassport.gov.bd website. Then click on Apply Online Menu from the top. Now select your Bangladesh Mission where you are going to apply.
Are you applying from Bangladesh? Select No. Then select the country as the United States of America and select Bangladesh Mission you like. Click continue to proceed.

Write your active email address to create your account. Then fill up the captcha and click continue. Now you will find a page as below.
Give a password containing 6 characters and a minimum of 1 letter in capital or block letter.
Full Name in Passport Application
You can apply for e-passport only with NID or BRC. So, you must write your full name as it appears in your NID Card or Birth registration certificate which you are using for e-passport application. Be sure your BRC is found online. You can verify your birth certificate now.

Given Name in Passport
A given name is also known as a first name or forename. A given name is the first part of a personal name that identifies a person. You can write the first part/parts as your given name in the passport application.
If your name has 2 parts such as Mohammad Kamal, write Mohammad as the given name.
If your name has 3 parts such as Mohammad Kamal Uddin, write the first 2 parts Mohammad Kamal in the given name.
Surname in Passport
Surname is also known as last name or family name. A surname is used for all family members. Surnames are, Chowdhury, Talukder, Hossein etc. For passport application, you must write last part/parts of your name as surname.
For example, Mohammad Kamal Uddin, Mohammad Kamal will be the given name and Uddin will be Surname.
Mobile Phone Number- Write your US phone number which will be used to contact you.
Then click the Tik Box where it says I am human. Fill in the captcha and click on Create Account button. After that, you will receive an activation link in your mail. Login to mail and activate your passport account by clicking the link.
Step 2: Fill up Bangladesh Passport Renewal Application Form
After successful activation, log in to your account by click log in from the right top.
Passport Type
Click Apply for a new e-Passport then select passport-type Ordinary Passport or Official Passport. If you are a Bangladesh Govt service holder and have a Government Order (GO) or NOC, you can apply for an official passport.
Passport Information
Now fill in the following passport information correctly. Be careful to fill out the form. If you made any mistake, you yourself can not correct this information.
Click the Tik Box ( I apply for myself) if you are applying for yourself. If you are applying for any other, don’t check the tik box.
Write the Name, Date of Birth and District of Birth as it is in your NID or BRC. Select your Profession correctly. You might show your proof of profession.
Address
Now fill in your permanent and present address. The permanent address should be your home address in Bangladesh. The present address must be your USA address.
Select Bangladesh Mission from where you want to apply. Then click Save and Continue button for next step.
ID Documents for e Passport Application
As you are applying for passport renewal, you have to provide your old MRP passport information, NID or Birth Registration Certificate Number and reasons to apply. Currently, there are 6 reasons available.
Reasons to apply for a passport
- Conversion to E-passport – you want to change your MRP passport to an e-Passport.
- Expired – Your passport is expired.
- Lost/Stolen – Your passport is lost so you need a new e-passport.
- Data Change – You want to correct mistakes or wrong information in your passport.
- Unusable – Your passport is damaged or unusable anyhow.
- Other – For any other reasons.
You have to provide National ID no or Birth Registration no (anyone). Write the number very carefully. Then click Save and Continue button.
Parental Information
Now you are to provide your parental information. Remember the followings;
- Write your Father’s and Mother’s names as they appear on your NID card or BRC.
- Don’t add Late or any other extra word before or after the name unless it is on your NID or BRC. If your father’s name is Late Kamrul Islam on your NID, only then you can write Late Kamrul Islam in passport application.
Select Nationality and Profession. NID no’s of your parents are optional. It is better to leave it.
Guardian’s name is only applicable if you have a legal Guardian other than Father or Mother.
Spouse Information
If you are married, widower or widow, you have to provide your spouse information. Try to give the correct information here. Click save and continue for the next step.
Emergency Contact
For passport applications, you have to provide emergency contact details. This person will be contacted in your absence. So write the information correctly.
The emergency contact person can be your relatives or friends.
Passport Option and Delivery Type
Select how many pages you want in passport 48 or 64 pages. Also, select 5 or 10 years validity of the passport. If you are renewing Bangladeshi passport for 10 years, you should select 64 pages. 48 pages will not cover 10 years.
Then select the delivery type Normal or Express delivery.
Step 3: Check Your Application again and Submit
Now it comes to checking your information again and confirming the application. Carefully check all the information are correct and you are not making any mistake.
If you make any mistake in the application, you may face problems with that. So check again and again. Now click Confirm and proceed to payment button.
Step 4: Submit the Application and Print it
Select the offline payment option and submit your application. Then download 2 files, 1) Application summary and 2) Online Registration Form. Print the Registration Form (3 pages) on both pages in A4 size paper.
Step 5: E-Passport Payment and Enrollment
You have to make an appointment for passport enrollment. Currently, the walk-in appointment is suspended until further notice. But, in-person service will be provided on a limited scale for e-passport biometric enrollment.
